Mobb Deep - Infinite

There were some questions about what would be a posthumous release for Mobb Deep with Prodigy passing away in 2017 due to complications from sickle cell anemia. When would the right time be? How good would the archived material be? How would the project work?

The right time is now. What we end up with is a project driven by Prodigy. Havoc, Alchemist, and all the featured artists on it had to work around the foundation laid by Prodigy’s verses. More often than not, Prod leads the track off, setting the tone for everything else.

That said, this is a Mobb Deep project in every way. It’s dark, gritty, and sinister in a way that feels cinematic. Prodigy’s memory is honored well here.
