The Thursday Dispatch - 13 November 2025
I’m suffering from a little case of writers block, at least in terms of this post. I also have a cat in my lap, which sounds nice, but he likes to wiggle around a lot and will occasionally give me a little love nibble on the arm, which is distracting. He is warm though.
I will mention one things I have going on. I went and took photos of the Aurora Borealis over the last couple of nights. This has prompted me to create a gallery page on this site, where I can dump some of the photos I take. This will act as sort of a photo blog, as I can tell a little bit of the story behind a photo as well. I’m also going to do a few photo dumps, definitely from some past trips, but hopefully some future ones as well, as well as any photo walks I do. The gallery page itself will show whatever feature image I chose for the post, but clicking in will show the full story.
I don’t really post personal or serious photos on social media much. I occasionally use the photo service Glass, which is a paid service. It looks great, like seriously the app is gorgeous. I’ve mentioned that here before. But, I often forget I have it, which is a waste of money at that point. Here, I can control and own my content and it looks great in an RSS reader. So, you’ll probably see me posting to the gallery when I can’t think of stuff to write about. All of that will appear in the main RSS feed as I post or just check back from time to time for a nice surprise.
Weekly Photo
The balconies on the apartments I live in are old. They’re finally getting around to replacing them, but they haven’t gotten to mine yet. In the meantime, the wood on the one above me has rotted and chipped away enough for some finches to find a home in it. This has resulted in Griffey doing a fair amount of bird watching.
